Stuff Pilots Like
Pilots love their flying bags more than fashio timberland outlet nistas love their handbags. Besides the fact timberland outlet that a the difference between a good flying bag and a bad on timberland outlet e could be the difference between life and death (rather than social death), there’s something in our brain chemistry that is drawn to mastering complex devices and keeping things neat and tidy. It’s why we became pilots in the first place.
Airline pilots will tend to have large leather briefcases filled with sandwiches, sunglasses, magazines, spare underwear and the odd checklist or chart.
Private pilots like me tend to eschew the robustness, elegance and impressiveness of airline bags in favour of gadgety, fidgety technical bags designed to make our life in the cockpit easier. The big difference for us is that we tend be the only pilot in the plane so a well organised flight bag helps with ‘Cockpit Resource Management’ (or getting everything sorted out on the ground so you timberland outlet don’t have to do it while you’re busy, you know, flying the plane and avoiding the ground).
Just look at this video of me reviewing the Brightline pilot bag to see how very passionate and geeky a pilot can get about his bag. I don’t suppose anyone loves their Prada handbag as much as I love my Brightline. At least until there’s a new one.
