Stor it Heavy Duty Storage Bags
It’s that time of year again when I, and millions of other mothers perf timberlands orm the yearly ritual of swapping out the Summer clothes to Fall and Winter clothes from our children’s dressers and closets. A full weekend project, this familiar ritual involves laundering stored items from last year as well as packing up items of clothing that can be passed down to a younger child. When storing my daughter’s clothing for the next season, I prefer to use the clear, heavy duty storage bags. This enables me to protect the clothing while stored in the crawlspace, as well as easily see which member of the family the clothing belongs to as well as what’s inside. I spotted Stor it Heavy Duty Storage Bags at my local dollar store and decided to give this product a try. Here are my impressions on the product. While I have always been a big fan of Ziploc’s Heavy Duty Storage Bags, I have never been a fan of the price. A box of three XX Large storage bags can cost as much as six dollars without a coupon. Stor it Heavy Duty Storage Bags costs only one dollar for a box. There is only storage bag in each box. I bought three boxes of Stor it Heavy Duty Storage timberlands Bags, thereby saving me half the money as compared to Ziploc’s Heavy Duty Storage Bags.
When removing the bags from the boxes to start my clothing project, I immediately realized that the size of the bags were rather small, even though I purchased the XX Large. The bags measure two feet by twenty inches and I was disappointed that I quickly filled them up and then had to store the rest of my daughter’s summer clothing in alternate containers. I am not exactly sure of the measurements of the Ziploc brand, but when comparing them to the XX Large bags filled with Fall and Winter clothing that I removed from my storage area, the Stor it Heavy Duty Bags were quite a bit smaller.
My second issue with this product was the zipper seal. The top of the bag did n timberlands ot seal easily and when I finally got the bag to close, there were areas of the top of the bag that within minutes began to open back up. The zipper seal does not effectively keep the storage bag closed which can be a real problem if the bags are stored where there is the probability of dampness and moisture.
What I do like about the Stor it Heavy Duty Storage Bags is the thickness of the plastic. The bags are quite sturdy which I found to be a great plus to this product. The bags come with a pleated bottom, w timberlands hich I also liked and have a built in handle on the top which makes transporting the storage bags quite convenient.
Overall, I would rate Stor it Heavy Duty Storage Bags two and a half stars out of five. While this product does have some positive points and the price is more than affordable, I would not recommend storing any items in these bags where keeping moisture and humidity out of the contents is a must. These bags are perfect for transporting items in a vehicle or when packing miscellaneous items during a move.
